More than Tamales
At Delia’s, our tamales have been so popular that they’ve helped us grow into what we are today. Over 30 years ago, Delia and her sister started selling tamales door-to-door and business-to-business. With such rich flavors, Delia’s customer base grew beyond what she could ever imagine. Soon, she outgrew her kitchen due to heavy demand. In 1998, she opened her first location in South McAllen. After a successful inauguration, other locations soon opened up across Hidalgo County.
